What's under the bridge? A troll? Or a rainbow? No, it's a sound sculpture show, put together by eight fated artists, who all know Nate!

This bridge makes noise. While on a run, artist Quinn Isaacs was overwhelmed by the sound emanating from the huge, trembling steel beams as they flexed beneath the weight of eastbound traffic on Route 18. This isn't just a bridge; it's a highway.

What does it mean to be under this infrastructure, and to hear it so loudly? It's a surprisingly beautiful sonic translation of the otherwise ugly, quotidian movement of goods, people, and money as they commute across New Jersey. If you close your eyes, it almost sounds like a whale's song when a large truck passes overhead.

Highways cut through our lives, dividing habitats, neighbourhoods, and communities. Highways are the dramatic stage for many scenes of violence; accidents, roadkill, and relentless pollution litter the asphalt. Highways are the arteries of capitalism, and this one needs an infusion, stat! So get ready, because the doctor ordered 30 ccs of liquid "sound art."
